Today marks the beginning of play in MLB The Show 21 Diamond Dynasty’s Third Inning Program. The bosses are as difficult as they have always been, but the overall format of the game has been tweaked somewhat for this iteration. This time around, the emphasis is placed less on the total number of participants and more on the caliber of the players that are participating. The ultimate prize will not change, and it will continue to be a Live series player with a score between 85 and 89 for a total of 650,000 experience points. In a month and a half from now, when this new campaign comes to a conclusion, each of the three new bosses will cost 350,000 experience points to unlock.
Awards Troy Glaus, Signature Series Dennis Eckersley, and Milestone Grady Sizemore are the three managers in charge of this establishment, respectively. It would seem that this will be a difficult option, at least one that is more difficult than the choices the boss in the second inning had to make. Eckersley is both a closer and a Signature Series player, both of which are positions that are still rather difficult to obtain in large quantities.
Although Sizemore has five tools and can play all three outfield spots, he has some trouble when facing left-handed pitchers. Last but not least, Glaus has perfect numbers while facing left-handed pitchers, as well as extremely excellent qualities when facing right-handed pitchers, and he also possesses a diamond glove. My guess is that most people will go for Glaus, particularly considering the fact that he is also capable of playing safety, although Sizemore and Eckersley should still have some supporters.
As always, I will be sure to bring these program guidelines up to current if SDS releases new material. Daily Missions are the only item I do not cover since they are unique to each player and are refreshed every day in exchange for a little number of experience points.
Let’s get started on the program right now.
The initial Conquest map requires you to take control of five different fortresses. You are need to participate in at least one further game in order to complete the Pizza Conquest map, which requires you to steal 3 million fans. You will get at least one Ballin’ Is A Habit pack in addition to at least five The Show packs, and this is before discovering any mysteries. If you want to know all of the details, you can find them here.
You will get 25,000 experience points for completing the map.
The Gecko Conquest map requires you to capture a total of six different fortresses. You will need to take control of the Angels’ stronghold on the first turn, or before the second round at the very latest, but other than that, this map should be quite simple to navigate.
After finishing this map, you will get 25,000 Experience Points.
