Discard excess waste ASAP.

Eliminating all of the debris will make the cleaning procedure much simpler. Put on some gloves made of rubber. Put your gloved hands inside a plastic bag so that you do not come into any touch with the feces and so that you do not expose yourself to any germs. Place all forms of biowaste, including diarrhea, in a trash bag once it has been collected. Wrap the waste bag in a knot, and then place it in a garbage can that is located outside.
Because memory foam mattresses are not waterproof, it is essential to eliminate feces and diarrhea as soon as possible, before the mattress has a chance to absorb the liquid.

Pre-treat stains on your bedding.

Apply a stain-removing solution to the item first, then wash it as usual. Take out the soiled bedding before washing the rest of it. Applying a spot remover that comes in a spray container, such as OxiClean Max Force Spray, to the stains can help eliminate them. Hold off for 5 minutes to give the solution time to penetrate the spots.
OxiClean is able to remove stains from colored bedding and does not affect the color of the fabric.

Disinfect all your bedding.

In order to eliminate germs, wash the bedding in very hot water. Place the laundry that has been pre-treated into the washing machine. Add bleach; if you have colored bedding, be sure you use color-safe bleach. Make sure that the water temperature is turned up to its maximum level, and then put your load of washing through the cycle that is designed for the colors that are found on your bedding.
Your bedding may be disinfected with hot water, which can also eliminate dust mites if they are present.

Spray the memory foam mattress with enzyme cleaner.

Using enzyme cleaning, break down the molecules that make up the excrement stains. Use an enzyme cleaner that is particularly made to combat stains and smells from bio-waste. You may use an enzyme cleaner like OxiClean, which is an enzyme laundry detergent, or you can use an enzyme cleaner that is specialized for stains from dogs. Apply it to the stains by spraying it on or sprinkling it on. The molecules that cause feces stains on the top surface of your memory foam mattress may be eliminated using an enzyme cleaning. If there is any feces that is absorbed by your memory foam mattress, an enzyme cleanser will also break down the components that are there. Enzyme cleaning may often be found in the form of spray bottles in addition to jars or boxes of powder.
Sugar, yeast, some water, and some fresh citrus peel may be used to make your own enzyme cleanser.
Products such as OxiClean may dissolve stains and even colour a white mattress to make it seem as if it were brand new again.

Let the enzyme cleaner set into the stains.

Please wait about five minutes so that the enzyme cleanser may work its way deep into the spots. After you see that the feces stains are beginning to bubble or come loose, you may get a piece of paper towel and proceed to the following step.
Ammonia and hydrogen peroxide are two more substances that may remove stains without causing any harm.

Blot the poop stains.

If you want to get rid of stains, act fast and dab them with a paper towel. Bring a fresh towel or piece of paper towel into the room. Blot the stains while applying a very mild pressure to the area. Be careful to begin blotting from the outside of the stain and work your way within; this will ensure that the stain does not become more widespread.
Alternatives to paper towels that are better for the environment include rags made of fabric and microfiber cloths. Maintaining a collection that is color-coded helps prevent accidental cross-contamination; for instance, using green cloths to wipe up bio-waste.
In your washing machine, launder reusable rags in several color-coded loads to keep track of them. You may also choose to wash them by hand. The use of hot water and detergent is an effective way to eliminate bacteria and germs.

Reapply the enzyme cleaner as necessary.

It is necessary to repeat the procedure of eliminating the stain in order to remove any remnant. Repeat the cleaning process on your mattress if you still see any discoloration after following the instructions in the previous sentence. Apply an enzyme cleanser to the stains left by the feces, wait for the spots to bubble or come loose, and then wipe them with a paper towel or a cloth.

Rub white vinegar into the previously stained areas.

In order to get rid of any scents, use a natural solution made of white vinegar. Even if you get rid of all of the stains, there is a possibility that your mattress may still have unpleasant odors. White vinegar may be used to neutralize and remove them from the area by dampening a clean towel with it. Employing it to blot the damaged regions that have stains in the past is a necessary step.
If you would rather use a spray bottle, combine three-quarters of a cup (177 mL) of water with one-fourth of a cup (59 mL) of vinegar, and then apply the solution to the areas that are in need of treatment.
Adding a couple of drops of essential oil to your solution of white vinegar will not only help to remove odors from your mattress but will also impart a nice aroma.
Vinegar reduces strong odors because it binds to the chemical components that generate them and then retains them, preventing them from dispersing into the air.

Make use of it to dab each of the locations that you treated on the mattress using.

Remove any lingering odors with baking soda.

Use baking soda to deodorize any areas that still smell unpleasant. After passing the baking soda through a sifter, spread it out around the mattress so that it is uniformly distributed. Allow the baking soda to settle for three to twenty-four hours. After that, you should vacuum it all up.
Wait at least three hours for faint smells and up to twenty-four hours for severe ones.

Air dry your mattress for up to 24 hours.

To clean and sanitize your mattress, you should expose it to fresh air and bright sunshine. Bring the mattress into the open air where it may bask in the sun and speed up the drying process. In the event that this is not a possibility, you should throw open the windows in your room, put in some fans, and point them toward your mattress while they are running. Allow the air in your room to circulate until the mattress has completely dried out. You may have to wait up to twenty-four hours for either technique.
The sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays are a source of natural disinfection. If you are unable to position the mattress outdoors, consider positioning it next to windows that let in a lot of natural light.

Prevent future stains with a mattress cover.

Invest in a protective topper in order to preserve the condition of your mattress. Investing in a mattress cover is a good idea whether you have a problem with consistent messes or you just want to prevent having to clean up in the future. As soon as you place it on top of your mattress, the cover will begin to function as a protective barrier, preventing stool and diarrhea from leaving stains on your bed.
Covers for mattresses are made to be pleasant for sleeping on and can be washed in a machine.
Regularly washing your mattress cover is the best way to repair stains, eliminate allergens like pollen and dust, and maintain a clean and presentable appearance for your bed.
